Two giant aluminium boat hulls are set to be trucked out of Wynyard on Friday morning, following a lucrative deal with one of the state’s biggest shipbuilders.
Local manufacturer Haywards Steel took over 10,000 man hours to build the 28 metre, eight ton hulls.
“It’s been a huge project for us,” workshop manager Tony Simpson said.
